China's fastener industry development process
From the perspective of industry ownership, the fastener industry was a separate industry sub-category before 2002, but in 2003, according to the new National Economic Industry Classification, "fasteners, spring manufacturing" merged into an industry subcategory. Because the number of spring manufacturing enterprises and the total economic volume are relatively small, it is difficult to remove the technology from the fastener industry. Therefore, when actually analyzing the development of the fastener industry, some data will not be springs. Manufacturers are excluded. The category of “fasteners, springs manufacturing” is “general parts manufacturing and mechanical repair”, and the corresponding industry category is “general equipment manufacturing”.
Fasteners, also known as standard parts on the market, are the most widely used mechanical foundations. At present, global fasteners are mainly used in the automotive industry, electronics industry and construction and maintenance industries. Among them, the automotive industry is the largest user, accounting for 23.2% of the total sales of fasteners.
China's fastener industry, sprouted in 1958, its leaping development as early as 1958, is already in the process of brewing and temptation.
How did China's fastener industry develop into such a vigorous situation in just half a century? Consultant of the National Fastener Standardization Technical Committee, consultant of the National Automobile Standardization Committee Basic Branch Standardization Committee, former director of Wuhan Automotive Standard Parts Research Institute.
China is a big fastener producing country. There are more than 7,000 fastener manufacturers in the country. In 2007, the output of fasteners reached 5.25 million tons, accounting for a quarter of the global fastener production. It has been ranked first in the world for many years, but most of the fasteners produced in China are low-intensity and low-grade products. Among them, ordinary low-grade standard fasteners below 8.8 are about 45%-50%.
